The University of Florida’s Department of Health Education and Behavior (HEB) focuses on serving undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in public health, wellness, health promotion, behavior change, and community outreach.

The HEB program brings together students from many backgrounds. In the University of Florida HEB Online Master’s Program, about 88% of students identify as female and 12% as male. The average age is 31, which means the program appeals to both traditional and nontraditional students. Around 60% of students are between 22 and 29 years old, 16% are between 30 and 39, and 24% are 40 or older (University of Florida, n.d.).
